Position Overview & Operational Focus:
A major regional health network in the twin cities metro area is seeking a Temporary Staff Coordinator for an onsite assignment. The primary responsibility of this role is coordinating and managing scheduling for Home Health Aides caring for Hospice clients. Additional duties include processing physician orders, managing medical record releases, handling multi-line phones, greeting visitors, and performing secretarial support while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality.
Core Responsibilities & Administrative Scope:
- Hospice Aide Scheduling: Daily coordination, staffing, and scheduling of Home Health Aides for home health and hospice clients.
- Order Processing & Records: Process clinical orders, execute medical record release requests, and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Communication & Front Office Support: Manage multi-line telephone systems, triage caller inquiries, provide high-level customer service, and execute administrative reception tasks.
- EHR & Technical Operations: Utilize Epic EMR and specialized administrative software for scheduling and documentation.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent [REQUIRED].
- Administrative Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional office experience [REQUIRED].
- Customer Service: Minimum of 1 year of high-volume customer service experience [REQUIRED].
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with medical software/EHR platforms and multi-line phone systems [REQUIRED].
Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical scheduling and staffing experience in a home health, hospice, or clinical facility setting [PREFERRED].
- Formal completion of a Medical Secretary vocational or certificate course [PREFERRED].
