Shift & Schedule: 8 Hours/Day | Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 Hours/Week.
Weekend & Call Requirements: No weekends required | No on-call coverage.
Position Overview & Clinical Scope:
An outpatient family practice clinic in northern New Hampshire is seeking a Temporary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for day-shift coverage. Operating in a fast-paced outpatient primary care environment, the CMA provides clinical support, prepares patients for provider examinations, and assists with routine office procedures while prioritizing patient flow to minimize wait times.
Key Responsibilities & Clinical Skills:
- Patient Intake & Vitals: Room patients, obtain accurate vital signs, review and update medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations or minor clinical procedures.
- Clinical Support & Testing: Administer injections and routine immunizations; perform electrocardiograms (EKGs); utilize proper medical terminology.
- EMR & Workflow: Prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and adapt to shifting daily schedules; prior experience with Meditech EMR system is a strong plus.
- Clinic Mobility: Must be willing and able to float or travel between local satellite clinics as operational needs dictate.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Experience & Competencies:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of current experience as a Medical Assistant [REQUIRED].
- Travel Experience: Previous healthcare contract/travel experience [HIGHLY PREFERRED].
Licensure & Certifications:
- MA Certification: Active Certified Medical Assistant credential from AAMA or an equivalent national certifying body (must be in-hand and uploaded with profile at submission) [REQUIRED].
- Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) [REQUIRED; document upload required].
