Shift / Work Schedule: Day Shift (8 Hours/Day | 40 Hours/Week Guaranteed).
Weekend & Call Requirements: On-call required for emergency coverage and weekend rotation.
Position Overview & Operational Scope:
An acute care facility in eastern Michigan is seeking a Temporary Operating Room Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day perioperative surgical workflows. This role leads nursing and surgical staff, manages daily operating room scheduling, ensures regulatory and infection control compliance, and maintains departmental financial and supply chain performance.
Core Responsibilities & Operational Scope:
- Staff Leadership & Development: Supervise, hire, train, and evaluate perioperative nursing staff, surgical technicians, and ancillary support personnel.
- OR Operations & Scheduling: Direct daily surgical room utilization, coordinate case scheduling, and optimize patient workflow and room turnover efficiency.
- Financial & Resource Management: Oversee departmental operational budgets, direct supply chain purchasing, and manage perioperative resource allocation.
- Compliance & Patient Safety: Enforce strict adherence to healthcare accreditation standards, state/federal regulations, infection prevention protocols, and sterile processing guidelines.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements
Licensure & Certifications:
- State Licensure: Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License [REQUIRED AT SUBMISSION].
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification [REQUIRED].
Experience & Qualifications:
- Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Manager of Operating Room / Surgical Services [REQUIRED].
