Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and provide efficient, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient preparation, clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and daily office operations while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet and interact with patients and families with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
Bring patients into exam rooms and obtain a brief history of their complaints.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
Obtain and document vital signs.
Assist physicians with examinations and clinical procedures as needed.
Administer injections as directed.
Provide patient and family education, counseling, and instruction.
Perform clerical duties, including:
- Scheduling appointments.
- Processing referrals.
- Coordinating appointments with other physicians and facilities.
- Completing forms.
- Answering telephone calls.
- Processing and mailing correspondence.
Maintain clean and properly stocked exam rooms.
Maintain and care for medical instruments and equipment.
Operate sterilization/autoclave equipment as required.
Assist with the orientation of new personnel, particularly with clinical and nursing-related procedures.
Participate in staff meetings and training/in-service programs.
Assume additional responsibilities as needed in the absence of supervisory personnel.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience – Required.
High School Diploma – Required.
Comfortable handling phone calls, patient greetings, administrative processing, mailing, and cleaning duties – Required.
Must understand and be comfortable with the temporary/contract nature of the position.

Certification Requirements:

BLS is not required.

4 days per week
10 hours per day

No on-call requirements
