Shift / Work Schedule: Day Shift (Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | 8 Hours/Day, 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed).
Weekend & Call Requirements: Call split among 4 team members (typically 2 days/week, rotating off-weeks; includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
Position Overview & Clinical Scope:
A comprehensive cardiovascular center in southwestern Oklahoma is seeking a Temporary Cath Lab Technologist to perform cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures. The technologist rotates between scrubbing and circulating roles, operating fluoroscopic C-arm equipment, managing inventory, and assisting in pre- and post-procedure care areas.
Clinical Capabilities & Lab Operations:
- Procedures Conducted: Left/Right Heart Cath, PTCA, coronary/carotid/peripheral stenting, thrombectomy, coronary and peripheral atherectomy, pacemaker insertions, tilt table testing, kyphoplasty, and AV graft diagnostics/interventions.
- Specialized Devices & Modalities: Philips Laser System, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and various coronary/peripheral atherectomy platforms.
- Imaging & Hemodynamic Systems: Siemens Artis Zee C-arms, McKesson CPACS, McKesson Cardiology, and McKesson Hemodynamic Monitoring Systems.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Duties:
- Procedure Rotation: Alternately scrub in to assist physicians and circulate cases, including active fluoroscopy/X-ray equipment operation.
- Patient Care & Logistics: Support pre- and post-procedure patient care areas, transport patients, assist with supply inventory management, and log procedural billing.
- Emergency Response: Participate in scheduled call rotations for emergency STEMI and interventional call-back cases.
Candidate Submission & Qualification Requirements:
Licensure & Certifications:
- Primary Credential: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification [REQUIRED].
- Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS Certifications [REQUIRED].
Experience & Submission Guidelines:
- Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of dedicated Cath Lab Technologist experience [REQUIRED].
- Travel Experience: Recent travel contract experience [PREFERRED].
