Shift: Afternoons.
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts | 40 hours per week guaranteed.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
On-Call: Possible.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified X-Ray / CT Technologist for a 13-week temporary contract in Mount Clemens, MI. The technologist will operate CT and diagnostic radiographic equipment, perform equipment quality checks, administer IV contrast according to radiologist-approved protocols, and maintain radiation safety standards across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.

Responsibilities:

Set up, monitor, and operate CT and diagnostic imaging equipment.
Perform daily equipment calibration, quality control checks, and troubleshooting according to health system guidelines.
Transfer and position patients safely, using proper body mechanics and immobilization devices when needed.
Capture, store, transfer, and maintain digital imaging studies for radiologist review.
Verify patient identity, review relevant clinical history, and screen for contrast allergies before procedures.
Prepare and administer IV contrast according to radiologist-approved protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and assist with emergencies, including basic CPR.
Follow radiation safety standards established by the Michigan Department of Public Health.
Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized procedures.
Coordinate daily schedules with room technicians and maintain supply inventory.
Keep work areas clean and assist with orienting new personnel.
Participate in departmental quality assessment and continuous quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of active X-Ray / Surgical OR experience.
Active ARRT certification in good standing.
Active BLS certification.
